Wheeled Upright Luggage. This class of luggage is comprised of carry-ons, checkable luggage, garment bags, duffel bags and specialty bags that share certain characteristics. First, almost all have a telescoping handle system which retracts inside the bag for storage and extends for easy maneuverability. Some lock in the down position to prevent damage to the system, others don't. Second, almost all manufacturers offer expandable and non-expandable models. Third, most offer suiter and non-suiter models in the standard designs. A "suiter" is a padded board which allows you to wrap a suit, two at the most, around it to prevent shifting and wrinkling.
